Topic: Map locked at latitude "0"

Hi Alex,

I hope all is well. As you can see from my image, I tried using the 4096 x 4096 Landscape map and tileset (as requested by the client) and encountered this issue.

The navigation gets stuck at Latitude 0 while the longitude completes a full loop around the "globe" (fantastic).

I would like to decrease the latitude to "48.000" or "-48.000" even with a zoom of "4" and have the longitude always complete the full loop around the "globe". In order to go to Latitude "48.000" or "-48.000", I have to have a minimum zoom of "9". Is this a problem on my end? Is there something I need to do that I'm not aware of?

Re: Map locked at latitude "0"

Hi.

It's by design.
The top of the map cannot have a latitude greater than 90 degrees, and the bottom of the map cannot have a latitude less than -90 degrees.

Re: Map locked at latitude "0"

Sorry Alex,
I think there is a misunderstanding. Design? You want to go to Lat -66.28222 Lon 110.5264 (Casey Station) with zoom 4, can you do it?

Re: Map locked at latitude "0"

No, you can't.
It's a map limitation.
I explained why in my previous post.

Re: Map locked at latitude "0"

It is not possible? The map can be seen in "Scenes". It would be enough to create an offset on the z axis of the camera when the zoom is at 4.

Re: Map locked at latitude "0"

Unfortunately, I didn't understand your message.
In the first one after you asked if you can change the latitude when the whole earth is displayed.
I said no, because you already see all tiles by latitude.
There is no loop by latitude.
There is nothing outside the borders, only dragons, so Online Maps limits your ability to change the latitude, and until the current map view is less than the maximum, you can't change the latitude.
