Topic: Click & drag 2D map only works while mouse/cursor is within map bounds
I notice if you create a 2D RawImage map, you can click anywhere within the map and drag around the map position as one would expect. However, this only works while you are dragging within the bounds of the map. As soon as your mouse leaves the bounds of the map the drag no longer moves the map.
The correct expected behavior would be that it should keep changing position of the map in response to mouse/finger motion until you release the click, even if you drag outside the bounds of the map.
This is how scroll rects and scroll views work - if you click inside a scroll view and drag, it will continue scrolling in whatever direction you drag even if your cursor leaves the window. Same applies in any program like Microsoft Word or any web browser. If you click and drag within a window it will continue to be influenced by mouse position even if you leave the window until you release the click.
Where is the mouse tracking for click and drag to position controlled within this asset? I presume this would be an easy fix. We would just need to specify that it continues to track and alter map position based on mouse position once a reposition drag is started until the click is released.
Thanks.
