Topic: Possiblility to remove Scripting Defined Symbols

Hi,

I see that uContext Pro adds some Scripting Defined Symbols to the project settings file, this is good unless you work on a team where other people don't use uContext

...;UCONTEXT_PRO;UCONTEXT

I have uContext excluded from Git but uContext installation or scripts are modifying a project file that's tracked.
Is there the possibility on not using that at all? Could uContext #degfine it in some entry point script if needed?

Thanks

Re: Possiblility to remove Scripting Defined Symbols

Hello.

These symbols are needed to tell other third-party assets or user scripts that uContext is present in the project.
Unfortunately, Unity has no other stable way to do this.

What can I do for you:
Add some setting that you disable (or enable), uContext will stop adding these symbols again, and you will remove the already declared symbols once.

Yes thank you that would be amazing

An hour ago, uContext v2.8 was released, where this feature is already present.
So far, the new version is only available through the built-in update system.
In the Asset Store, this will most likely be available in 24 hours.
