Topic: Terrain textures disappear in 2018.3

I am having trouble getting terrain textures to stay on the terrains in Unity 2018.3.  If I generate the terrain and textures, it all appears correctly in the editor, but if I save the scene, and then unload the scene and reload it, the texture layer is replaced with something else.

I have seen this behavior with another terrain generator in 2018.3, so maybe there is a Unity bug here, I am not sure.  Are you aware of this issue or know of a workaround?

Here is a video demonstrating the issue:

Hello.

Thank you for your bug report.
The problem has been fixed.
The new version will be available through the built-in update system in 24 hours.

Unity 2018.3 has a lot of changes in the terrain engine.
Now it uses TerrainLayers instead of SplatPrototypes, and TerrainLayers should be saved as an asset.

Kind Regards,
