Topic: Tooltip on mobile using IPointerUpHandler and IPointerDownHandler

Hello,
I'm using some code from your sample uGUICustomTooltipForAllMarkersExample to define the tooltip and I use IPointerUpHandler and IPointerDownHandler inside another script to check wherever the user tapped on the screen.

This approach seems to prevent tooltip to be shown; is there any way or best-practice to ge the tooltip to be shown on mobile "on tap"?

As usual thanks for your outstanding support. smile

Re: Tooltip on mobile using IPointerUpHandler and IPointerDownHandler

Hello.

On IPointerDownHandler:
* Get the current marker using OnlineMaps.GetMarkerFromScreen
* Store it in some field.

On uGUICustomTooltipForAllMarkersExample.OnUpdateLate:
If the marker (which you store) != null, show the tooltip.

On IPointerUpHandler:
marker (which you store) = null;

Re: Tooltip on mobile using IPointerUpHandler and IPointerDownHandler

Hello,
I've tried like you suggest, but it seems not returning any marker, 3d nor 2d:

Online maps tile set control > 3d marker > allow default marker event is checked, markers are code generated at runtime but tapping on a marker OnlineMaps.instance.GetMarkerFromScreen always return "null".

I'm I missing something?

Thanks in advance

Re: Tooltip on mobile using IPointerUpHandler and IPointerDownHandler

OnlineMaps.GetMarkerFromScreen returns 2D markers.

If you want to get 3D marker, you can make raycast manually and check the result.
Or you can use OnlineMapsControlBase3D.GetBillboardMarkerFromScreen.
I know that this is not logical, and this method was written for other purposes, but it will return instance of 3D marker too.

Thank you for your question. It showed me the problem, and we will try to improve it.
