Topic: Create marker automatically from a Json

Hi!
I'm creating a project with a friend, but we are not so much expert and we can't figure out how to automatize the creation of markers and how to let them update when we update the json.

we saw this post already https://forum.infinity-code.com/viewtopic.php?id=1454 but we didn't understand much on how to do it.

For us is important to create marker automatically because we'll have to put a lot of them (1000+) and it can't done by hand.

Do you have any solution to this? it doesn't have to be trought a json but anything similar can work.

Thaks in advance to whoever will help us

Re: Create marker automatically from a Json

Hello.

You need to read JSON, iterate over its elements, and create markers based on its data.
There are links to API and examples in the post you mentioned.
There can be no one-size-fits-all because JSON is just text, and your JSON may have a different structure than the other person's JSON.

Re: Create marker automatically from a Json

Ok, thanks for the super fast reply.

We'll try to follow the examples and to structure a JSON in the best way possible to get all the data we need.

Without opening another thread i ask you something else.
Can we link an audio file to the marker so when people interact with it the audio start?

Re: Create marker automatically from a Json

Yes, use the OnClick event to play your sound.
If the sound should be shared by all markers, you can specify it as a public field.
If the sound needs to be unique for each marker, you can store a reference to it in customData.
