This is because the elevations loaded for the full map view.
We plan in Online Maps v2.6 rework elevations, to make it load for the tiles.
This will solve the problem.

4b.

Hello,

I'm using Online Maps as the core of my project and i'm facing some issues :

First:
The altitude looks a bit buggy. At start it works fine, but after a single aggressive zoom-out then zoom-in, everything gets messed up. ( See attached screen )

I'm currently working with the following location :
Lat : 49.2905693054199
Long : 2.74574303627014

There's a farm there. And whenever we zoom out, then zoom in with the bing elevation enabled the resulting bug occurs.

I've tried it elsewhere, for eg, in the mountain, and it looks like it works just fine there. But not on the zone i need to exploit in my app.
Any clue on what's happening ?

Second :
The drag is sketchy whenever i increase the resolution of the map. ( Pixels size )
Currently set to 8192 and it really feels like there's steps working back there. It doesn't feel good to move around with small movements. It feels good with a 1024 size.

Third :
We use both a orthographic view and a 3D view. The controls are fine in 2D, though sketchy, as said before. In 3D however, with the altitude enabled, it feels really bad. When the altitude delta is large enough, there's a lot of tileset teleportation going on while dragging.

Fourth :
The zoom looks like it doesn't update the altitude at the same time as the zoom is going on. This leads to a visible and unclean update of the map height a few frames after the zoom.

The smooth zoom doesn't work on desktop, does it? Plus the current smooth zoom should probably update the tile at some point as we can see the end of the tile otherwise.

These issues have been verified with version 2.5.2.1.

Thanks for your support and keep up the good work.

Alexandre.
