This is due to CORS.
https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/HTTP/CORS

To work around this you need to redirect requests to Google APIs through your proxy.
Example:

Google autocomplete doesn't work in WebGL.
I get an error - "UNKNOWN ERROR". There is nothing else in the xml answer
The same code for Android works without problems.
You can check on your example FindAutocompleteExample.cs
