I bought Real Wolrld Terrains today


An now i want import Map it  autoselcedted for TExtures Virtual Map Bing Maps is that good ?

What are the best settings ?






And i inserted Road Architect and now the checkbox for Generate Roads is there. 

But in your videos  there are also Genarate Rivers checkbox why its is not there what i need ?

I searched now 2 hours at Google and your forum and looked much videos but not find why Generate Rivers is not there or how it can be get there.

And for Good buildings need BuildR or better BuildR2 ?



And in your videos so many textures for Trees and Grass and so on that are not there why not included need the bought exta or how ?

Hello.

Virtual Earth has good quality satellite imagery.
Try it. If it suits your needs, then it's good.

The best settings, very much depend on what you want to get as a result.
Try clicking on "Get the best settings for the specified coordinates".

RWT v2 was able to generate rivers.
But in RWT v3, we removed this feature, because we were not satisfied with the quality of the result.
Perhaps we will return this feature in the future for R.A.M. asset.

BuildR allows you to generate editable buildings.
But, as far as I know, most users generate buildings without BuildR, and use it as they are or modify them in 3D editors (like 3ds Max).

Also other problem i tryed let genarate buildings at start but take long at big aps no problem i thought so clicked at terrain later 3x3   in let generate buildings but buzildings are much to big and was outside the terrain not at the place.


and genarate roads not work dont know why not with Road Architect and not with EasyRoads3D sad

This is in the experimental stage, so if we add this feature, it will not be very soon.

About buildings:
Please send a screenshot of your settings.
I will check the generation of buildings.

About roads:
Try updating to RWT v3.8 using the built-in update system (Window / Infinity Code / Real World Terrain / Check Updates). This problem must be solved.

You have a other way how i can create rivers

Also when creating roads with road architect or easyroad3d self not work right at the terrain.

When generating buildings and roads for Road Architect, the problem was on our side.
Fixed. The new version will be available through the built-in update system within 24 hours.

But the generation of roads for EasyRoads3D works correctly.
I tested in a new empty project Unity 2018.2 with the latest version (ER v3.1.1) of assets.
Honestly I don't even have any idea why you got this error.
Here need to test the whole project to find out what the problem is.

Right now there is no automatic way to generate rivers. Only manually.

My opinion is that R.A.M. more suitable for rivers.
But you can first try EasyRoads3D.
Perhaps this will suit your needs.

About problems with manually creating roads, you better ask the developers of these assets.
I've never faced this.

The problem is fixed.
The new version will be available through the built-in update system within 24 hours.

The problem was not in the positioning of buildings and roads.
The problem was that the coordinates of the terrains boundaries were calculated incorrectly.
After the update, you will need to generate terrains again (from scratch), and the buildings and roads will be positioned correctly.

Also Tree have no colliders  how can add to them because the are genarated at terrain but not selectable.  And how can spawn generate better trees ?


And Gass / Generate Grass not work it takes 30s and after that no grass at all terrains and at single terrain select Grass not work.



With the terrain i send you coordinates at first PM.



And i bought:
Relief Terrain Pack v3.3


But not work not selectable in Real World Terrain  not as in Video or your Document sad

You quoted my answer to your questions.
This is the same problem that is fixed in RWT v3.8.2.
For the problem to go away, you need to generate terrains again.

About EasyRoads3D and Relief Terrain Pack:
I use the latest (official) version of assets from the asset store, and it works well.

I always genarte the terrain new with new version of real world terrain but not wokring right sad   now with buildR2  also sometimes buildings at right place and sometimes not with real world terrain version 3.8.3.1


And grass not realy work also with higher or lower densiy  only 10 - 20  grass spawn generated.


Yes at EasyRoads3D now work but problem that generated roads are not connected when they are overlaped etc with T or so  and also not connectable hmm     That bad no god roads when the end at every crossing etc 

I use EasyRoads3D 3.1.1 newest version


And at RTP  how it needs to be added to generate texture with RTP  what settings ?

Because it not generates textures sad


And how i can add colliders to already gernerated trees or to trees that should be generated real world terrain because this uses brushes at you link not working tryed .

Or can you add that sellect at generate trees also genearate collider at trees for trees


And can i use Gaia at already generated terrains ? for spawn trees and grass not working  .

About BuildR, RTP, grass and trees:
I made a video that shows how it works for your settings.

Generation of terrains, textures and buildings is accelerated 5 times to make the video shorter.

About EasyRoads:
This is a known problem in ER.
I reported this to Raoul (creator of EasyRoads) in February.
Unfortunately, this can not be fixed on RWT side.
So it remains only to wait until this problem is fixed in ER.

About RTP:
Most likely you have an incorrectly configured shader in RTP.
RTP has one of the best documentation of all the assets that I've seen.
Use this to corrent configure your shader.
Or I can send you a screenshot of my settings.

About the trees:
You do not need to add a collider to each instance of the tree.
You need to add this once to prefab.
Step-by-step instruction:
1. Drag your tree prefab into Hierarchy.
2. Add the capsule collider.
3. Adjust the capsule collider so that it has the correct size and position.
4. Click "Apply" at the top of the inspector (above the transform and below the name GameObject).
5. Remove prefab instance from Hierarchy.
It's all. You have colliders on all instances of the tree.

About Gaia:
RWT can only generate Gaia stamps.
Generating textures, grass and any other objects for Gaia is not supported.
This is not a bug or a flaw. This was planned.

Most likely you have an incorrectly configured shader in RTP.
RTP has one of the best documentation of all the assets that I've seen.
Use this to corrent configure your shader.
Or I can send you a screenshot of my settings.

I have direct contacts with many developers,
and if I found a bug in their assets, I always report them about it.
It is something like help from developer to developer.
But I'm not even trying to control the correction of the problem.
Of course, if it is not need to me personally.
This is their assets, and only they decide what and when to implement or fix.

I do not know what screenshots you expect from me.
Integration with all assets turn on the same way.
RTP does not require any further settings.
Please send me your project including RWT and RTP to email (support@infinity-code.com).
I will check what the problem is.

No. It's just impossible to implement for Gaia, because Gaia works differently.

Most likely the problem is in Detail Resolution.
Increase this field in the terrain settings and regenerate the grass.

Try to reduce Max Mesh Trees and / or Tree Distance and / or Billboard Start in the terrain settings, or reduce the density of trees in RWT.

The main task of RWT is to make objects (in this case roads) that are located like in the real world.
RWT is not do the visual setting of such objects.
In any case, the graphic designer will do it much better than the smartest program.
RWT simply helps him, saving him from complex and tedious work - the location of objects.

The density can be in the range of 1-100%.
It makes no sense to use a density of more than 100%.
Detail Resolution is heavily affect to the grass amount. Set a big value (for example 4096), and you will have more grass than you need.

No, the generation of these objects can not be multi-threaded.
RWT spends only a few milliseconds per single building or road.
The rest of the time, third-party assets are working, to which RWT can not affect.
And most likely the developers of these assets can not make them multithreaded, because most of the time it takes to work with textures, materials, meshes and other classes that can only work in the main thread.

yes but it can't be corrected with ER like at their videos and screenshots and tutorials that i look like real roads at mountain.  with the curves etc and flatted in mountain not work.

also i found the problem when i clikck at for example Terrain 3x2  and import prefs   and prefs was saved for all terrains or for example Terrain 3x3 it generates them for all terrains or terrain 3x3   but not for Terrain 3x2 so i must sellect all settings at Regenerate aadditional for effery Terrain manualy and generate.
