Topic: Issues with map rotation and smooth zooming on iOS / Android

Hi

Online Maps is a great asset, we really like it, but I'm sorry to say that we experience some weird issues and can't quite understand how to fix them... Can you please help us?

The gesture rotation looks very weird on mobile devices - it works properly only when both fingers move horizontally in the same direction. When players try to use the standard rotation gesture by rotating 2 fingers, it looks like there is a conflict betwee 2 touches and the camera starts to rotate in one direction, but later is being overriden by rotation in the opposite direction... The rotation also works when one finger is rotating the map and the other is stationary.

We use tileset map, allow camera control and set rotation speed to (0, 1).

Also we set the zoom range to (18, 20), but it seems that the smooth zoom feature doesn't support it and this allows players to zoom too far away and see what's behind the tilset plane... So at the moment we had to disable smooth zooming, even though we'd like to use it sad

About rotation:
Yes, Online Maps uses nonstandard rotation gesture.
To use the normal rotation gesture, use Easy Touch (or other asset, which can use this gesture).
Set Camera Rotation Speed to (0, 0).
When the rotation is occurs, change Camera Rotation Y.
I think in Online Maps v2.5 we will try to add a built-in integration with Easy Touch.

About smooth zoom:
Yes, when smooth zoom is occurs, zoom range is ignored.
I understood your problem.
We'll think how to fix it.
Most likely we will add some optional feature to fix it.

Any update regarding the integration with Easy Touch? I was looking at beta versions but the changelog doesn't mention anything about it.
