Topic: Cache map tiles in script, to be used later when no internet access.

Are you able to “cache” map tiles for a given GPS location in script, before the map is displayed, so that you can view your online maps tile set in “off-line” mode?

The app I have been directed to develop, has a loading scene which the user will run when they have internet access. At this stage I would like to get all their assigned GPS locations and download the tile sets for them and use your existing map cache to store them ahead of time.

Then when the user is out in the field, probably without internet/cell data access, the can still use the map from the previously cached data.

I am currently using the MapBox source, of type “Map”.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello.

I answered your email.

My answer contains a script that I do not want to post on the forum, so I will not duplicate my answer here.
