Delayed permissions check

Hi, I'd just like to ask if there's a way to delay asking for location permissions for Android. I'm working on a small app, so I have my UI elements and map in the same scene (it's tied to a master state machine that manages the overall UI flow). What happens is that on start, the app asks for location permission and my client wants to move that to sometime past the initial welcome page and such. If you could give me suggestions on how to best go about doing that, that would be very helpful. Thanks!
